Our Cast Iron Radiators are available in a wide variety of finishes, below is information on the main finishes but if you have a particular finish in mind contact us to discuss.
Primer is basically an undercoat which needs finishing in order to prevent rusting. It is possible to paint our cast iron radiators yourself using the correct paint, however we do recommend you leave it to us to get a good finish and often its the most cost effective option long term.
We paint our radiators to achieve a highly durable paint finish. On top of the primer we paint all the sections individually before assembly. Once the radiators are assembled and pressure tested they are given a final overspray. Our Cast iron Radiators are available in some of our standard finishes such as Foundry Grey, and we can colour match to most of the major paint companies.
The Antique Finish is achieved is achieved by layering paint shades and highlighting the detail of the radiator. This gives an aged appearance. We have some of the standard antique finishes on the site however we can antique most colours if required.
Radiators with a highlighted polish are generally finished with a black base coat then the detail is then polished out to leave a polished silver finish to the detail. We have also done gold and copper highlight finish.
Our specialist team are capable of creating stunning finishes, if you are looking for something different, just ask.
Hand Burnished Effect
The Hand Burnished effect is achieved by polishing the sections back to the bare cast iron. The radiators are then sealed to protect them. It is a beautiful finish however some maintain is required to keep them looking their best. Every 8/10 weeks use a polishing cloth with WD40 ensuring your hand burnished cast iron radiators remain free of rust.
