Inspiration and Advice - Traditional Window Furniture

When selecting your window furniture the first thing to think about is whether your window is fitted with a multipoint locking system or requires a more traditional window fastener. Generally UPVC and modern timber windows are fitted with a multipoint system which requires an espagnolette handle as the spindles drives the locking system. Window stays are optional when using espagnolette fasteners.

Our traditional window fasteners our suitable on period style windows that dont have an internal locking mechanism, they are available in both locking and non-locking versions.

A night vent fastener are used in casement windows and can either lock the window shut or slightly ajar to allow air in whilst remaining locked.

Top Tip

Generally if your window is hinged on the right from the inside view you need a right hand fastener, the same applies to the left.
