This door is supplied unglazed to allow you to add your choice of glazing on site. The door is rebated to suit 20mm thick sealed unit double glazing (4-12-4), and solid oak glazing beads are supplied with the door.
Supplied with a solid laminated oak frame and oak panels, the 1930s solid oak external door has a shaker style with flat oak panels.
The doors are manufactured to a 44mm thickness for a solid heavy door.
The stiles and rails are made by laminating together two 22mm sections of solid oak. Laminating the sections in this way makes the door much more structurally stable than using a single piece of oak.
If you need a bigger, smaller or irregular size than the size brackets provided, feel free to call our showroom and we can discuss prices for any size of your choice.
You should always add a few mm, then plane the door on site. It is perfectly normal for door frames to be slightly out of square, and by leaving the door oversize and planing to suit on site, you will get a perfect fit.
Please Note -these doors MUST be fitted under a porch and cannot be directly exposed to potentially damaging weather conditions
